SUPPORT YARN
Every event, workshop, exhibition and artist residency is made possible not only by our team, but by a wider community that believes in creativity, in bringing people together, and in making space for something meaningful on the North Coast.
We produce a varied, year-round programme of events, supporting artists at different stages of their practice and creating opportunities for people to develop their creative work, and to learn, make, and take part.
We also care deeply about keeping what we offer accessible, so that cost is not a barrier to participation, and about paying artists and collaborators fairly for their work.
Yarn operates as a not-for-profit space. This means that all income from tickets, events and bookings is reinvested back into Yarn. Our income goes directly towards running the space, maintaining the building, and delivering our programme.
Even when events sell out, ticket income alone does not fully cover the costs of running the space, paying artists fairly and continuing to develop what we do. Like many independent arts spaces, we rely on additional support to sustain and grow this work.
