Terms & Conditions

By making a reservation, you are agreeing to the Terms & Conditions laid out below: 

 

  • ​1.1. All reservations are subject to availability and confirmation.

  • 1.2. A valid credit card or other acceptable form of payment must be provided at the time of booking to secure the reservation.

  • 1.3. Yarn reserves the right to cancel or modify a reservation if payment information is invalid, if the reservation was made fraudulently, or if the guest violates any of the terms and conditions outlined herein.

  • 1.4. Changes to a reservation, including but not limited to the dates of stay or room allocation, are subject to availability and may result in additional fees.

1. Reservation

 

  • 2.1. Check-in time is 3.00pm on the day of arrival. Check-out time is 11.00am on the day of departure.

  • 2.2. Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request, subject to availability and additional fees.

  • 2.3. Guests who fail to check-out by the specified time may be charged an additional fee.

2. Check-In and Check-Out

  • 3.1. Smoking is not permitted in any Yarn guest room or public area. 

  • 3.2. Pets are not allowed in the building.

  • 3.3. Guests are responsible for the conduct of all persons staying in the room and for any damages caused during their stay.

  • 3.4. Guests must comply with all Yarn policies and local laws and regulations.

  • 3.5. Only the guests confirmed in your reservation are permitted to stay. Any extra guest not confirmed will be charged at £150/guest/night. This will be deducted from your payment card without notice.

3. Room Use and Conduct

  • 4.1. The rates quoted are per room per night and are subject to change without notice.

  • 4.2. Taxes and additional fees may apply to the quoted rate.

  • 4.3. Payment for the full amount of the reservation, including taxes and fees, will be charged to the credit card provided at the time of booking.

  • 4.4. Additional fees may apply.

4. Payment and fees

  • 5.1. Yarn is not responsible for any loss or damage to guests’ personal property.

  • 5.2. Guests agree to indemnify and hold Yarn harmless from any claims or damages arising from their use of the hotel/hostel facilities.

  • 5.3. Yarn reserves the right to charge guests for any damages caused during their stay.

5. Liability and Damages

  • 6.1. Cancellation policies may vary depending on the rate and type of room booked. Please refer to the specific cancellation policy for your reservation.

  • 6.2. Guests who fail to cancel their reservation within the specified time or fail to show up for their reservation may be charged the full amount of their booking.

6. Cancellation and No-Show

  • 7.1. Yarn reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time without notice.

  • 7.2. These terms and conditions are governed by UK & Northern Ireland law.

  • 7.3. If any part of these terms and conditions is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect.

7. Miscellaneous

More than 21 days prior to arrival – full refund.

 

0-21 days to arrival – non refundable.  
 

Bookings via an Online Travel Agency may state their own cancelation policy stated within the OTA.
 

Any amendments to a room booking date can be done for free however if the new dates are more expensive you will need to pay the difference. All amendments to your date of stay must be made 21 days prior to arrival. â€‹

Cancellations and Amendments

Any breakages or damages will be charged. A quote will be provided on request for the goods/services +20%.

If the room is left extra dirty, a minimum extra cleaning fee of £80 will be charged.

Damages & Cleaning

EVENTS TERMS & CONDITIONS

​​​​​​Yarn Ballycastle will only issue refunds for tickets if an event is cancelled. If an event is rescheduled, all tickets purchased will automatically transfer to the new date. Ticket holders will be notified via email of the rescheduled date and ticket transfer. Alternatively, ticket holders may request a gift voucher equal to the face value of the ticket, which can be used for future events hosted by Yarn Ballycastle. Refund requests, where applicable, must be submitted within 10 working days of notification.​

If an event is cancelled, we will contact the named booker directly. Please ensure your contact details are up to date to receive timely notifications. For cancelled events, ticket holders may choose from the following options:

  • A full refund (processed within 10 working days)

  • A gift voucher of equivalent value for future events

  • The option to donate the ticket value to support Yarn Ballycastle’s community and arts initiatives

If you have requested a refund and have not received confirmation within 10 days, please contact us.​ Refunds will be processed using the original payment method. Once the refund is issued, you will receive an automated email confirming the details, including the refund amount and method.​
 

Ticket Refunds, Cancellations & Rescheduled Events

Our refund confirmation emails will include the last four digits of the card used at the time of payment to help you identify the account. Even if you have received a new card since purchasing, the refund will still be directed to the original account. Refunds may take up to five working days to appear on your bank statement.​

 

If the card used for payment is no longer accessible, please contact us, and we will arrange an alternative refund method.​

For Orders Paid with Card

Tickets for rescheduled events will automatically be transferred to the new date, and ticket holders will receive an email confirmation. The original tickets will remain valid for the new date. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled event, you may request a gift voucher instead.​

  • Tickets are sold on a general admission basis with limited unreserved seating. A seat is not guaranteed, and standing may be required.

  • Yarn Ballycastle reserves the right to refuse entry to any attendee, including unaccompanied minors.

  • ​Under-18s are permitted at events before 8pm only when accompanied by a parent or guardian. No under-18s are allowed in the venue after 8pm.
