About

This autumn, Yarn is collaborating with Anahat (Freny Pavri) to introduce a bespoke Seasonal School of Classical Yoga. This is a year-long journey through the cycles of autumn, winter, spring and summer, beginning with a two-month block for autumn.


Inspired by the ancient wisdom of the yoga sutras, Freny’s teachings weave together movement, mindfulness, energy awareness and environment. The School invites participants to explore yoga as both a physical and spiritual practice, and a way of attuning the body and mind to the natural rhythms of the seasons.


Each Season We’ll Explore

  • The anatomy of the body and energy (prana) and its regenerative potential

  • The integration of physical postures, mindful awareness, creativity and consciousness

  • Cultivating harmony between body, mind and emotions

  • A movement practice that strengthens, opens and aligns the body, responsive to the season and its fluctuations

  • The influence of natural cycles on energy, rest and renewal

  • Small daily take-home practices to support postural alignment, fascia health and energetic balance

Participants will also receive a seasonal practice guide: a companion document of daily rituals, breathwork and alignment-based movements to help you sustain your practice beyond the mat.

 

Satsang


Each month, the group will gather for an in-person Satsang: a spiritual meeting for meditation, chanting and the discussion of yoga philosophy. From the Sanskrit words sat (truth) and sangha (company), satsang is a cornerstone of classical yoga that deepens understanding and collective experience.

 

JOIN THE AUTUMN BLOCK

 

This season’s program includes one online class per week, either on Wednesdays, 9.30 - 10.30 am or Sundays, 9-10 am.


  • Duration: Each Wednesday and/or Sunday until 16th/19th December

  • Format: 1 online Zoom class per week (with the possibility of a second) + 1 in-person satsang per month at Yarn

  • Time: Wednesdays at 9.30–10.30 am or Sundays at 9-10 am on Zoom

  • You can purchase weekly classes at check-out should you wish to deepen your practice.

  • Fee: £10/week. If you're joining after the first week (29th October), the fee is £70 for 7 weeks.

What you'll need: A yoga mat, a block or a strap (not compulsory!), and a quiet space for your online practice.
