About
We’re starting a book club at Yarn this November: a good yarn over a good book with a drink and a table of people who might have read the same passage completely differently.
For November’s first book club, we’re reading The Things We Never Say by Elizabeth Strout, shortlisted for the 2026 Booker Prize. Strout’s novel follows a history teacher in coastal Massachusetts, exploring the loneliness and secrets beneath an apparently ordinary life, and how little we sometimes know of the people closest to us.
Come to Yarn for a drink and a conversation about our read of the month. Bring the sentence you read twice, the character you loved or loathed, or the thoughts still knocking about after you finished the last page.
