About
Join us for the winter season of Yoga at Yarn.
Following the principles of Classical Yoga, we will work with the body's fascial network, including exercises that naturally hydrate the fascia, improve flexibility and mobility, and bring ease to the body. We will practice slow, static positions to warm the body and improve blood circulation.
We will build on these foundations to introduce awareness of energy and how to recognise and cultivate it, also known as prana in Sanskrit. Pranayama is connected to the body's life force and energy and is explored through breath and sound.
We will explore the concept of movement as meditation and movement as medicine — practices that heal, nourish and regenerate the body, bringing inner strength, power and resilience.
There will also be a special focus on the anatomy of the face. We will look at alignment, or how we “wear” our face, and how facial expression relates to emotion.
Simple, accessible practices will be introduced to release tightness and tension in the myofascial structure beneath the skin.
Spaces are limited. Book early to secure your place.
