About

Whether you're completely new to yoga or returning after a long break, this gentle, welcoming practice is an invitation to slow down, reconnect with your body, and discover what yoga can offer beyond the poses.

Together, we'll explore simple movement, mindful breathing, and practical tools to calm the nervous system, build strength, and cultivate greater ease, clarity and attention.

Absolutely no experience is necessary. No flexibility required. No special clothes. Just come exactly as you are.

This is a community practice, open to everyone, with all proceeds going directly to support Yarn and help this creative space continue to flourish.

Come and meet your neighbours, move your body, and perhaps discover the beginning of a practice that could stay with you for years.

About Elizabeth Welty

Elizabeth Welty has been teaching yoga in Belfast and beyond for over eighteen years, creating welcoming spaces where people can move, breathe, reconnect, and discover that yoga truly is for everyone.

She is a senior yoga and meditation teacher, co-founder of Ethos Yoga Studio in Holywood, County Down, and founder of Flow Studio, one of Belfast's first Vinyasa Flow yoga communities, which grew to three locations across the city. Elizabeth is also a co-creator of a 200-hour yoga teacher training programme and has mentored and trained more than eighty yoga teachers across Northern Ireland and beyond.

Alongside her studio work, Elizabeth has spent many years bringing yoga, mindfulness, and nervous system education into schools, universities, businesses, and community organisations. Her work spans everyone from primary school children to PhD researchers, always with the same intention: helping people cultivate greater resilience, focus, and wellbeing through simple, practical practices.

Most recently, she developed and delivered an advanced teacher training module, The Soul and Science of Calm, in Boulder, Colorado, exploring the meeting point of neuroscience, contemplative practice, and embodied movement.

Elizabeth's teaching is warm, accessible, and encouraging. Whether you're stepping onto a yoga mat for the very first time or returning after many years, her invitation is always the same: Come exactly as you are. She believes yoga isn't about touching your toes. It's about coming home to yourself, one breath at a time.
