About

Candlelight, laid-back energy, records gathered over a lifetime of listening.

Join us for an evening with Andy Baird as he shares selections from a record collection spanning seven decades — from 1945 to the present day — played through a clean sound system specially for your listening pleasure.

Formed by early memories of his dad’s hi-fi (ABBA, Kate Bush, Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison) and shaped by discoveries through John Peel, alternative 80s bands, 90s dub and Detroit house, the collection has grown organically over time. The evening moves through a diverse, carefully curated flow of familiar and lesser-known tracks — ambient, folk, psychedelic rock, dub reggae, soul, blues and more.

Andy will also give a short talk on sound quality and the enduring pull of vinyl, sharing a handful of stories behind the records — including original pressings from the 60s and 70s that hold their own place in musical and personal history.

BYOB. Space to sit, listen, chat and dance, if the mood takes you.

Doors at 7.30 pm and starts at 7.45 pm.
