Natural Dye Workshop: Bundle Dyed Bandanas

Bundle dyeing is a simple, yet highly effective, natural dye technique that can be used to create mesmerising repeat patterns on cloth with flower and plant materials. This workshop will cover some basic principles of natural dyeing as you create your own unique cotton bandana (or two cotton handkerchiefs) using flowers, leaves and foraged plants.

All materials provided. No previous experience necessary.

About the facilitator:

Fiona Nicholson is a Belfast-based artist and maker whose practice is deeply connected to the natural world. Her work explores sustainable processes and celebrates the colours and textures found in nature through the making of natural inks and dyes. She is dedicated to reducing waste and embracing slow, mindful making. Through her art, she invites others to reconnect with the land and consider more harmonious ways of living and creating.
