About
The art of personal essay writing is rooted in the sixteenth century and is having something of a revival today. The practice has been described as the pursuit of mental rabbits - chasing ideas through thickets of thought in the hope of capturing a bit of life on paper.
As a form, it is playful, endlessly creative, flexible and surprising.
Join acclaimed author, Bethany Joy Dawson, on a non-fiction ramble. You can expect to learn more about the form of essay writing through sample essays, exercises and writing prompts in a space that encourages experimentation. Whether you are new to the hunt or have been chasing rabbits for many years, writers of all experience are welcome.
