About

Known for her raw, relatable and sharply honest poetry, Caitlin’s work moves between tenderness and fury, humour and heartbreak, exploring what it means to be human, to love, and to live in a world that often asks us to hold too much.

We’re thrilled to welcome poet Caitlin O’Ryan to Yarn for a spoken word performance of her poetry.

An actor and poet from Greater Manchester, now based in London, Caitlin has headlined many of the UK’s leading spoken word nights including spitnights, Groove Verse, Poet’s Palace, VERSES x Roundhouse and Voices in Power. Her work has taken her from Sofar Sounds to Glastonbury Festival (on behalf of Amnesty International), and her viral poem At What Point—about the cost of being a woman today—has been viewed over 18 million times.

Her debut collection, At What Point, was launched at the Edinburgh International Book Festival, where she appeared in conversation with Hollie McNish, and continues to reach audiences across the UK through live performances and festivals, including Cheltenham Literary Festival.
