This month’s screening: The Quiet Man
A warm-hearted romantic drama directed by John Ford, The Quiet Man follows an Irish-American boxer who returns to rural Ireland in search of a quieter life. Instead, he becomes entangled in village rivalries and a fiery courtship with the strong-willed Mary Kate Danaher. To win her hand, he must face her brother, Red Will Danaher, whose pride and refusal to grant his blessing or her dowry stand firmly in their way.
