This month’s screening: Carrie
Just in time for Halloween, we’re screening Brian De Palma’s Carrie (1976) in the year of the film’s 50th anniversary. Carrie White is a shy teenager, bullied at school and controlled at home, who discovers she has a frightening power. When a rare invitation to the prom offers her a chance to belong, the night takes a turn no one will forget. Adapted from Stephen King’s debut novel, Carrie remains a horror classic.
Bring a drink and settle in. Whether you're revisiting a favourite or seeing it for the first time, all are welcome.
