When & Where

20 Jun 2025, 20:00 – 21 Jun 2025, 23:00

Yarn, 24-26 Ann St, Ballycastle BT54 6AD, UK

About

On Friday 20th & Saturday 21st June, Yarn Ballycastle transforms into a comedy hotspot, bringing together some of the sharpest, wittiest and most exciting voices in stand-up.

Hosted by the whip-smart and uncompromising Peter Flanagan, this weekend is stacked with comedians who’ve lit up festival stages, dominated social media and packed out comedy clubs across Ireland and the UK.

Friday night features the razor-sharp Emma Doran, the effortlessly hilarious Diona Doherty, and the master of observational comedy, Martin Angolo.

Saturday night keeps the momentum going with viral sensation Ali Woods, the unfiltered and uproarious Katie Boyle, and one of Ireland’s fastest-rising comedy stars, Aoife Dunne.

Starts at 8pm each night.

Emma Doran

Emma Doran is one of Ireland’s most popular comedians. After her online sketches exploded in popularity, she became of the country’s hottest touring comedians with sold out shows from Dublin to London. Since then, she’s published her first book and has just started her second nationwide tour. Most recently, Emma was part of the fab five that made up the RTE sketch show No Worries If Not.

Diona Doherty

‘One of the country's top comedians” - Belfast Live

Having starred in Derry Girls, Soft Border Patrol, Give My Head Peace and with appearances on Have A Word, The News Quiz and series regular on The Blame Game, Diona Doherty is making waves in the comedy world!

Martin Angolo

‘Laser-sharp wit’ - The Independent

Martin Angolo is an award-winning Irish comedian who is a regular at comedy clubs and festivals all over Ireland and the UK. He has written and performed comedy for SKY, BBC and has had millions of views across social media. His own live shows play to full rooms all over Ireland, Europe and America.

Ali Woods

‘In a world of wannabes, Woods is the real deal’ - Evening Standard

Viral comedy sensation. Ali Woods is a half-English, half-Scottish comedian, podcaster and content creator. After a second sell-out Edinburgh Fringe run in 2023, Ali is a refreshing mix of the ‘every man’ and the ‘modern man’, whose sensitivity and genuine interest in men’s mental health gives him a great perspective on the modern ‘lad’ culture which often features in his comedy.  Not to be missed.

Katie Boyle

Katie Boyle is an Irish comedian living in New York City. Her favorite stand-up topics are her journey through American culture, dating, therapy and shame!  She was chosen to perform at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal in 2023 and has headlined clubs across the United States and Ireland. Katie's debut album and special, I'll Do It Myself, was released through Pinch Records in summer of 2023. The album hit #1 on iTunes Comedy Charts and is currently available to stream on all major platforms.

Aoife Dunne

Aoife Dunne is one of Ireland’s fastest-rising comedians, known for her unique blend of stand-up comedy and long-form storytelling, and also for her viral online sketches on Instagram and Tiktok. In less than a year, she’s skyrocketed through the Irish comedy scene, and has headlined the DeadRabbit in New York, the Galway Comedy Festival, The Sea Church in Ballycotton, The White Horse Comedy Club in Cork, while hosting and running storytelling nights in Dublin and Amsterdam. She’s also performed at Electric Picnic, All Together Now, Another Love Story, and Paddy Power Comedy Festival. Aoife’s chaotic, and brutally funny perspective is making her one of the most exciting new voices in comedy.
